“As a presidency, we desire that each young woman know her identity as a daughter of God. We hope that she will learn to recognize and rely on the Spirit as the guiding, comforting force in her life. Keeping her baptismal covenants will prepare her to make further covenants in the temple. We also desire that each young woman use these vital years as a time of preparation for her future roles as wife, mother, and homemaker.” Young Women General Presidency Young Women General Office 76 North Main Salt Lake City, Utah 84150-6030 E-mail: youngwomen@ldschurch.org LDS Church website - www.lds.org

Young Women SpotlightLetting others see the good YOU are doing!
Robyn, a midwife and some of the YW of the Glen Huon Ward, Hobart Australia Stake, Tasmania, Australia. The girls made patchwork baby quilts the size of nappies (diapers) and donated them to the Hobart Private Hospital, a maternity hospital in Hobart, to give to mothers of stillborn babies. 2 of our Laurels had moved on into RS but came along to the hospital. While making the quilts, we realized that all the YW who were helping with the quilts had come from a home where at least one sibling had been lost through a miscarriage or stillbirth. The girls learned some valuable skills and were able to reach out in a small way to help someone grieving. Submitted by Greta S. Watson, YW President.1-11-08
